Our Indigo Scarf is handwoven from linen by Black H'mong Vietnamese. A traditional design is applied using wax and each length of fabric is then dipped in natural indigo dye. Our indigo linen are sold as pieces of artwork. Each piece has many uses: as artwork in the home, as fabric for cushion covers, as scarves etc. The lengths are un-finished at each end.
Natural indigo dye is highly transferable and these pieces come straight from the villages so are un-rinsed. If wearing your linen, please iron each piece to set the dye and then wash separately on a hot wash. A fair amount of blue will come out in the water during the first wash, after this the pieces are safe to wear.
